Summer program

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

I will be signing up my kids for summer reading program.  It’ll start on the first week of June and ends probably in the mid-to first week of July.  My oldest son can get easily bored and I’m trying to give them something to do…its only been just 5 days and they miss school already!  Good thing they get to see their fellow classmates and friends while in the program.  We are still thinking about going over to Georgia for the summer(sis-in-law and my brother), I don’t mind going but….depends on how the weather will be coz its hurricane season and gas prices….*head aching*….

It’s supposed to rain all friggin’ week! just yesterday, we have about 7 inches! grrrrr…..we all had a bad memorial day.  Makes me think that summer this year might get hotter…..

Title Something About You
Artist Level 42
How...
How can it be
That a love carved out of caring
fashioned by fate
could suffer so hard
from the games played once too often.
But making mistakes
is a part of life's imperfections
born of the years is it so wrong
to be human after all.

Drawn into the stream
of undefined illusion,
those diamond dreams
tThey can't disguise the truth.

That there is something about you
baby, so right
I wouldn't be without you
baby, tonight.

If ever our love
was concealed
no one can say that
we didn't feel
a million things
and a perfect dream of life.
Gone...
fragile but free
we remain tender together,
if not so in love
it's not so wrong,
we're only human after all.

These changing years
they add to your confusion,
oh and you need to hear
the time that told the truth.

That there is something about you
baby, so right
Don't want to be without you
baby, tonight.
Because there's something about you
baby so right
I couldn't live without you
baby, tonight.

Because there's something about you
Baby, so right
I wouldn't be without you
Baby, tonight...

sleepy

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

You know I worked the late hours shift right?  And I thought that I am used to staying up the whole shift but, earlier around 3 in the morning, I had a hard time keeping my eyes open, probably because I didn’t get enough sleep the other day (Off day).  I sat in my desk and felt like I was daydreaming.  It was just a short nap….will continue….

hehehe….took me long time to continue my blog…anyways, I always feel sleepy nowadays, if i get at least 5 hours, I’m content with that.  My mom still fuss about me with this issue…nice to feel like a kid again hahaha! :D but, i love it when she cares.  I’m off this weekend and I have to set-up my kids’ slip n’ slide…again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FIVE BEST THINGS TO SAY IF YOU GET CAUGHT SLEEPING AT YOUR DESK:
5. "They told me at the Blood Bank this might happen."
4. "This is just a 15 minute power nap they raved about in the time
management course you sent me to."
3. "Whew! Guess I left the top off the Whiteout. You probably got Here just
in time."
2. "Did you ever notice sound coming out of these keyboards when you Put
your ear down real close?"
And the NUMBER ONE best thing to say if you get caught sleeping at your
desk
1. Raise your head slowly and say, "…in Jesus’ name, Amen."
Appreciation?
Tuesday, May 15th, 2007
My kids had a school newsletter they bought the other day.   It talked about the upcoming events for the last few weeks of school.   It caught my attention–on the next page right in the middle of the paper it’s….Teachers and Staff appreciation week, I thought in a sarcastic tone, "Wow" look how they got it all planned:
Monday–Bring a candle with a note attached saying, "Thank you for lighting the way!"
Tuesday–Send "apple items" (apple pie, magnet, notepad, apple, etc.) with a note reading, "You’re the apple of my eye!"
Wednesday–Send a drawing made by your child.
Thursday–Send a piece of candy saying with a note reading, "You are sweet!"
Friday–Send a note or card to a teacher or staff member written by your child (encourage your child to express thanks to the teacher or staff member).
Then on the bottom they concluded: "The teachers and staff at the Weimar Elementary devote themselves to our children not expecting thanks…",  I can’t help but just had to giggle after I read it and the words that came out of my mouth and forgive me Lord "Bitches", pardon me.  Since the beginning of the school year that is August (Texas), all I remember was every week it seems like they are "milking" us–parents/guardians for our money…Book fairs, fundraisers, party/holiday dues, t-shirts, not to mention Breakfast/Lunch—we had to pay because our income is about in the median above the "qualification" level, Scholastic book orders, yearbooks and field trips.  I understand that some of these are quite necessary but, it’s so obvious that the school seems like its running out of funds or something.  There are some things I don’t agree with how the teachers carrying on—could be they aren’t satisfied with  their salaries.  Though, I am greatful for public schools because you don’t have to pay for tuition like private/catholic institutions.  Anyways, I had to show the paper to their dad and I already know what he’s going to say…"That doesn’t make any sense, we’re the ones giving our money, they have to do their jobs…", both of us just gave it a shrug and went along with it for fun!  Hey, the kids seems to like their teachers and besides they don’t want to feel left out so, yeah, today they are sending them their own drawings.
